ノーベル経済学賞って言うのはどういう人がもらえるものなんですか

Peace? Celtic Tiger daddy Bertie should get Nobel for economicsという、アイリッシュインディペンデント紙のサイトのニュース。

When he arrived with admirable promptness at the office of Coldwell Banker Lloyd in Ashtown at 4pm, he was eager to play down the (admittedly slim) possibility that he and his good mate Tony Blair were going to snag themselves a Nobel Peace Prize (yes, that's the same Tony that helped Dubya bomb the bejesus out of Afghanistan and Iraq).
"To be honest, I don't know a lot about it. I got a call last night to tell me I was on the list," he admitted.
But even as a keen betting man, he wasn't giving himself good odds -- and neither for that matter were the turf accountants in Paddy Power, which put Bertie in as a long 66/1 shot for the gong which is announced today, behind Bob Geldof at 33/1 and Bono at 50/1....

いや、なんでノーベル平和賞？　経済学賞もどうよ、という気もするが、アイルランド人はおそらく（調べてないけど）ノーベル文学賞しかもらったことがないから、他の賞が欲しいんだろうか。（ちなみに1998年には北アイルランドの政治家二人がもらっている、という記事が上記の引用の後に続いている）。

最近「ｱｲﾙﾗﾝﾄﾞ崩／壊」とか、「ｱｲﾙﾗﾝﾄﾞ経／済崩／壊」とか悲しい検索で飛んでこられる方が多いんだが、まあ、去年の取り付け騒ぎとか、今年の「ブルーマンデー」とか、2005年度が最も景気が良くって、その後はこれほどまでには行かないだろうという予想はすでにされてたりとか、ケルティック・タイガーもそろそろ寿命かな、と思っていたところにこの世界同時株安だから、おそらく余命も断たれただろうと考えているので、おんなじ事考えてる人多いんだろうなぁ、と思う昨今。ユーロは137円という留学当初の金額に戻っていて私の貯金（たかが600ユーロだが）は目減りしてるし、留学生の勤務時間を無しに戻すという法案も通りそうらしいし、夢の時代も終わりなのかもしれない。が、景気が異常に好調な年月を過ごしてしまった若者世代はどうなってしまうんだろう、と、銀行勤務の大家さん（20代後半）を思い出して少し心配。
